Alison Maria Krauss is an American singer-songwriter and bluegrass country musician. Born on July 23, 1971. She entered the music industry as a young girl, competing in local contests before when she was 10 years old and making her first recording at the age of 14. She signed by Rounder Records, her first album debuted in 1987. Then, she was invited to be a part of Alison Krauss Union Station, the band she currently performs with. Her first album in a group with this band was released in 1989.
