Harry Edward Styles - also known as Harry Styles - is a British musician and songwriter. Harry Styles has been recognized for his compositions for the One Direction band. He is the father of Des Styles (father) and Anne Cox, Harry Styles was born February 1, 1994, in Holmes Chapel. Harry Styles attended the Holmes Chapel Comprehensive school, where together with three students, he created his own group of musicians, called White Eskimo. After winning the Battle of Bands 2009 thanks to their outstanding performance, they also participated in the Battle of Bands 2010. He was always interested in the arts, however he also wished to work as an attorney, physiotherapist or even scout. He was employed at the local bakery for a few hours in order to provide for his family. Harry Styles was selected for The X Factor 2010 audition in which he performed Stevie Wonder's song Is not She Lovely. His band was forced to break up due to the fact that they were selected. The audition was held on The X Factor the jury Nicole Scherzinger suggested that Harry Styles join the group that was to be called One Direction along with Liam Payne Zayn Malik Niall Horan and Louis Tomlinson. Simon Cowell was the sponsor of the group that began in the year 2010. They sang the Kelly Clarkson song My Life Would Be Sucky without You and Bonnie Tyler's Total Eclipse of the Heart during the contest, which allowed them to become the top contenders for winning the contest. They were in third position behind Rebecca Ferguson and Matt Cardle and took home the prize. Harry Styles did not receive a prize, however Cowell made a deal worth 2 million pounds to One Direction in order for the group to be a part of Syco Records.
