Andrea Jeremiah

Andrea Maria Jeremiah has worked as an actress, musician and playback vocalist for Tamil films and Malayalam film. Annayum Rasoolum was her Malayalam and Tamil debut. Her debut was in Tamil alongside Pachaikili Muthucharam. Andrea Jeremiah grew up in the Tamil Nadu region in an Anglo-Indian family. Andrea's father was an Madras High Court lawyer. She has an older sister currently working and living in Leuven Belgium in the role of Research assistant. Jeremiah, who was born in Chennai attended National Public School. He was a graduate of Women's Christian College. Andrea was an eight-year-old classical pianist who was also a huge geek. Young Stars, a Jackson Five-style group she joined at age 10 years old, was her starting point for her singing as well as composing music. In her college she also was a theater artist and performed in stage plays produced by The Madras Players. Andrea was President of the Women's Christian College's Student Senate. Andrea began her acting career as a young actress in Girish Karnad Nagamandala. She was a part of Shiva as part of a commercial for a coffee. She also acted as a part of a character in the Podhigai serial. She has performed all over India. She had a short character in the finale in Kanda Naal Mudhal (2005). She sang for Gautham Vasudev's Vettaiyaadu. She was asked to join his lead female characters for Pachaikili Muthucharam. Andrea performed the role of Kalyani the housewife whose husband has an affair. She was targeted for blackmail. Andrea was chosen to play Kalyani when Simran Shobana Tabu and other actresses were approached. The film was released in the beginning of 2010. In 2011, she accepted to have a supporting role in the film. Venkat Prabhu starred in Mankatha. Mankatha premiered on August 11, 2011. Annayum Rasoolum was Rajeev's romantic flick from 2013.
